It’s the ultimate win-win.

Why We’re Playing: The MD Anderson Connection

At Cancer Eradicators, we are dedicated to supporting the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. Specifically, this event serves as a major fundraiser for the MD Anderson BootWalk to End Cancer®.

If you aren't familiar with the BootWalk, it’s MD Anderson’s signature community event. It’s a 1.2-mile walk that supports cancer research, patient programs, prevention, and education. For Bags & Bingo, we want to be clear: Bags & Bingo supports the UT MD Anderson Cancer BootWalk and the fight to end cancer.

By joining us on September 24th, you aren't just playing a game. You are helping create support that reaches patients, research, and families through UT MD Anderson Cancer Center and BootWalk efforts. You are part of something bigger than one night.

WE WALK. WE FIGHT. WE WIN.

This isn’t just a slogan for us; it’s our mantra. When we say "WE WALK. WE FIGHT. WE WIN.", we mean it. Every step we take during the BootWalk and every bingo card we play during our benefit night is a step closer to a world without cancer.

The Cancer Eradicators team is made up of survivors, caregivers, and community members who have all been touched by this disease. We’ve seen the toll it takes, but we’ve also seen the incredible power of a community that refuses to back down. We chose the colors Radiant Purple, Energetic Red, and Luminous Navy because they represent the promise of life and the energy we bring to this fight.

What to Expect on September 24th

So, what does a night at Bags and Bingo actually look like? Here’s the breakdown:

  1. The Bingo Rounds: We’ll have multiple rounds of bingo throughout the night. Each round features a different prize bag, with varied prize bags for men and women that may include product-themed bags, men’s items, and unique ladies’ bags. The mix is designed to make the event fun and welcoming for everyone. The tension in the room when someone is one number away from a win is electric!
  2. Community Momentum: This event is already building real support. Samuel Family Cardiology is on board as our Presenting Sponsor, and Loud Mouth Entertainment, Bella Rosa, and Tejas Chocolate + Barbecue are confirmed $250 Game Sponsors.
  3. Ways to Jump In Right Now: We still have 4 Game Sponsor spots remaining, and we’re actively seeking support for Bingo Champion ($1,500), Community Table ($900), Signature Bag ($500), and in-kind bag donations.
  4. Stories of Hope: Between rounds, we’ll share a bit about why we’re here and the impact your donations are making. It’s a chance to connect with the mission and see the faces of those we are helping.

If your business, community group, medical office, or hospital wants to make a visible difference, this is your moment to step in. Support a fun, inclusive night that welcomes men and women while helping support the UT MD Anderson Cancer BootWalk and the fight to end cancer. Cancer picked the WRONG TEAM.

Step Up in Your Boots

While the bingo event is in September, it’s all leading up to the big walk. You’ll notice a recurring theme in everything we do: boots. Specifically, leather boots with those signature purple laces. Why boots? Because we are "booting" cancer out of existence!

The boot symbolizes the hard work, the grit, and the determination required to face cancer head-on. Whether you’re wearing your favorite cowboy boots to the bingo night or lacing up your walking boots for the actual BootWalk event in November, you’re sending a message that you are part of a team that doesn't quit.

How Your Contribution Makes a Difference

You might be wondering, "Does my bingo ticket really make that much of a difference?" The answer is a resounding YES.

MD Anderson is one of the world's most respected centers devoted exclusively to cancer patient care, research, education, and prevention. The money raised through the BootWalk has helped:

  • Develop new immunotherapy treatments that use the body’s own immune system to fight cancer.
  • Provide support services for patients and their families, including social work and psychological counseling.
  • Fund clinical trials that give patients access to the latest treatments years before they are available elsewhere.
  • Educate the public on prevention and early detection, which are key to saving lives.

When you sit down to play bingo with us, you are helping create a successful fundraiser whose Bags & Bingo supports the UT MD Anderson Cancer BootWalk and the fight to end cancer. You are a Cancer Eradicator.
